Here are the items that are left after Saturday's craft fair.
RECENT PROJECT - Completed July 12, 2024
A friend broght over a pile of old walnut boards that have been in his family for over 80 years. Wants to see if some gifts can be made to share with family. Click on the image below to see the day to day progress - and the final results. NOTE: I was so glad I was able to complete this...just in time. Vern Tolles died October 11. He was able to share some of the bowls and other items with his family, which was his plan for years. Rest in peace, Vern.

ANTIQUE LAMP RESTORATION. A local lamp restorer found me on the web and asked it I could make a replacement base for an antique lamp he wanted to restore. Here's what happened...
These are pens I made as thank you gifts for the Church Council at Faith Lutheran.
A friend gave me a walnut gunstock, which I turned into a walnut & maple bowl.

June 2021 - Leslie's Dresser.
In 2007 I made her a cedar chest. She liked it so much she asked for all the bedroom furniture to be made in the same aromatic cedar. So there followed two night stands, a king-size headboard and an entertainment center/cabinet for the foot of the bed (which is now the TV stand in the living room in our home in Michigan. Fourteen years later, the job is complete with this dresser project.
While the shop was awaiting its remodel, I found time to make this segmented lamp. |

Step by step: The making of an urn.
A friend in Florida asked if I could make an urn for use in their church. They have a memorial garden in which cremains are placed. The urn is for use in the church before the bag of ashes is taken to the garden for placement (meaning that the urn will be used over and over again). It is made of maple and walnut. Here is a series of photos showing its evolution.
